I am not exactly sure what to put here, so here is a quick bio.
I am 41 and my name is Jonathan. I am happily married, (we just celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary this May). I am a father of two, (a 19 year old son, and a 7 year old daughter.)
I have no particular style of poetry. I write about what ever happens to inspire me at the time. Could be a social injustice that I feel compelled to write about. Could be a sentence in a book, or something I hear over the radio, that strikes me as a great line for a poem, so I create something around that sentence.
I am a very open minded person, a romantic at heart, and enjoy helping others.
I like the contests on allpoetry.com alot. They provide a challenge, and I believe that you should try to challenge yourself from time to time. Not just with poetry, but with life. Keep on learning new things, keep on striving for new goals, keep on trying new experiences, keep on living life the best you can.
My favorite poem is really a song. "Imagine" by John Lennon. I think it does a great job of expressing my personal philosophy in life. I don't have a favorite author, as I read a lot of various types of books, and try to take away something from all of the them.
