I'm not quite sure what to write here. I guess I'll describe my poetry.
My poems tend to be written tableaus. They almost always describe one scene, one moment in time, and usually are centered around one character. The real focus, though, is around the events that led up to that moment, and more importantly the emotions that the character is experiencing. I strive in my poetry to really capture emotions, to describe them in such a way that the reader can actually begin to feel whatever emotion, be it joy, sadness, anger, etc.
Many things inspire me to write. Sometimes I write about events in my personal life. Sometimes music serves as the basis for my poems. Sometimes I simply write because I'm thinking too much.
As far as I personally go...I'm going to be a Junior in high school. 16 years old, and if there is one thing I value in life, it's friendship. My friends are of the utmost importance to me, and that's reflected in a lot of my poetry. I'm fairly liberal as far as political views go, and that sometimes sneaks in too.
If you have any questions or want to know more...well, the only stupid question is the one that goes unasked.
This is probably one of my favorite pieces, from the game Baten Kaitos:
Swaying on the waves, the flowing waves
How far shall we go tonight?
Ta-ladi-da-di-da, Ta-ladi-da
To the rounded moon, to the scarlet star,
to your slumbering island off afar?
Ta-ladi-da-di-da, Ta-ladi-da
O Mighty Song, scatter long…
a flower fresh become
O Sweet Flower, bloom and shower…
a guiding path in times to come
Two souls, swaying…
on a sea of dreams, praying
Traveling on to kingdom come
Two small vessels of one long endeavor
Fates entwined…pressing on forever
Ta-ladi-da-di-da, Ta-ladi-da

Umi Juvariel : Interesting poetry... on March 30, 2007I find your style quite intruiging, and hope to read more. I plan on reading your chapters to your stories as well. People have told me they are worth it. I also found your descriptions of yourself on your author page to be quite like myself. Keep up the great work, and keep writing. I'll be reading.
