Atrophy
With eyes shut tight
we hear the sounds of war,
an explosive charge
on the credit cards
as objectivity stands aside
for the exhilaration…
…the observation of subjugation.
The elite are termed
and deadly indifferent
to the downfall.
Ignorance is a station
to fill your coffee cup
and slurp the drama
from the high quality images
on the television…
…delivered in full surround sound.
Deliveries made
with shocking silence
are the stillborn futures
that we all assumed.
Ravenously gorged on eternity
fat’s not happy
it’s just unskilled
at practicing self control.
