Okay, I think I should let all of you know why I chose Hot-tamale. You see I'm the baby brat of my family, and my sister ran my name - Tammy Lee - together to form Tamale! She has always been clever (she is on this site as Dreaminoflife), and when she was a teen she wrote a story about me and the boy I was dating (who she loved to make fun of). She called me hot tamale and him cold bologna, because she said he was a loser! Ah sisters! My friends picked up on it, and the nick name sort of stuck.
I love poetry and prose! I am currently a seventh grade Language Arts teacher and I am loving it. I love music and theatre also, so I am constantly trying to keep myself grounded to reality. Oh yeah, I love bears and vampires!
I love all music, but my two current favorites are Linkin Park and Vivaldi. Everyone should support public radio!
I write poetry for therapeutic reasons - I believe reading and writing are good for the soul - and mourn the fact that I am not truly gifted at it. Oh, I can hammer out essay and actually enjoy it, but I don't have that gift of excellence in my creative writing. Most of my efforts are just nice. In a way this is good, because I am always eager to write the next one in hopes it will be better!
I strongly recommend that every person read John Stuart Mill's autobiograpy. Written in 1873, John Stuart Mill wrote, "Ask yourself if you are happy and you cease to be so. The only chance is to treat, not happiness, but some end external to it, as the purpose of life."
Finally, I am a huge Anne Rice fan, but I currently keep busy by training for the Forks Cliff diving team, while I await Breaking Dawn.
Do not possess life, but live and experience it! Do not stagnate in the common everyday, but embrace diversity! Carpe diem!
