"Woman is governed by her sexuality and of this there are two distinct aspects,
her womb and her clitoris. These two aspects of woman are ruled by a panoply
of Goddesses, but essentially they all resolve themselves into two types.
The womb is governed by all the mother goddesses such as Mary etc,
the clitoris is governed by Babalon and all active goddesses. When the clitoral
type goddesses are active in a woman’s nature she is active dynamic and
ambitious with the flame of the Goddess active between her thighs, the jewel
light of her sexuality illuminates and consumes all within her sight.
The womb Goddess on the other hand is only interested in maternal and
preserving factors that create and maintain circumstances suitable for
reproduction. A woman with this Goddess aflame within her nature will
be gentle, caring, solicitous. She is active in the interests of her children.
She deals with children as the Babalon clitoris aspect deals with men.
Mary womb is creative, Babalon clitoris is destructive. Babalon destroys that
Mary can create. This can lead to conflict within a woman’s nature.
The caring protective Mary is appalled by the evil machinations of Babalon.
Mary the mother versus Babalon the whore. All women have these two
essential ladies within their natures. Mary represents mysticism where as
Babalon represents magick therefore it is to Babalon we must appeal if we
are to pursue the mysteries of magick. Babalon the Beautiful the Gate of the
Great God ON, the Lady of the Understanding of the Ways. Babalon is the
great liberator, she is the aspect of woman that wishes to carve a way for
herself and woe betide the man who gets in her way.Babalon uses her
feminine charms to get her way, Babalon clitoris is dynamic as Mary womb
is passive, although Mary often calls on Babalon to aid her in her desires.
It is Babalon the beautiful who inspires a mate for Mary. The trouble with
the Babalon aspect of woman is that she will stop at nothing to attain her
objective, there are no depths that she will not sink to, she will consort with
the demons of hell and corrupt the devil himself given half a chance, and go
on her way rejoicing in his discomfiture. Babalon the beautiful, Babalon the
whore, whose seal oversees all that comes into incarnation.
OVERSEE-OVERMUCH-CLITORIS-KUNDALINI She is the superior Goddess,
she is the creator of all art. Whatever man is, does or aspires to has its roots
in his desire to please her, but he is always doomed to failure, because the
pleasure of Babalon is always temporary, she is too restless for that, she must
go on, she must conquer, and then corrupt what she has vanquished, then burn
and destroy with her contempt the man who has been taken in by her magick.
Only the child of the Great Goddess can hold sway with this mighty witch
Goddess. Only he who has been tested and destroyed by her magick can look
into her eyes and live. Only Horus holds the keys to the kingdom. As Jesus does
the will of Mary his mother, so does Horus do the will of his mother Babalon.
ISIS-56 the reward of 56 is 65-BABALON. Only Babalon is seen of Isis,
and the reward of Babalon is Isis, the truly GREAT Mother but it is only
through Babalon that we come to the Great Mother Isis. The Mother Mary
is the mother of all men who seek peace, love, charity and conservation.
Babalon is the PATRON mother of Horus the avenger, the destructive aspect
of man. Babalon urges Horus on as Mary urges Jesus on. Jesus propounds
the conditions of peace and love. Horus propounds destruction of the effete
and useless. ‘‘Pity not the fallen. I never knew them. I am NOT-HORUS=45
for them.’’ The Goddess is divided for love’s sake divided by the seals of
her sexuality. Woman must recognise these two aspects of herself and invoke
the deities to which they are sacred. The Judeo-Christian system has taught
conflict between these two great ladies and made woman a house divided.
There is no truth in this idea of conflict but woman’s Mary aspect is
very impressionable and will be swayed by prevailing conditions.
The truth is, is that Babalon serves the directive of Mary or she would
if she was given half a chance. Woman is having to recognise the dualistic
aspect of her nature since ‘the mother’ was sent out to work. It is Babalon
who deals with the world on more than equal terms, and these two
Goddesses are again beginning to cooperate in a modern woman’s nature.
Western women are becoming less and less afraid of the Babalon/clitoris
power in their natures. They once thought that to listen to her would lead to
sin eveil and madness but in truth woman has found that far from being her
enemy, the Crimson Goddess is her salvation, the salvation of her individuality.
It is Babalon in woman that teaches her to cope with the world and arise
triumphant from the thrall of potential motherhood as the unit function of her
nature. It is Babalon who is teaching woman to stand alone and demand
her requirements from the world around her. Babalon is looking for Horus,
but where is he to be found in the pathetic morons of meaningless
mediocrity that the human male has become with his cardboard
sword and pointless gestures his petulant passionless uselessness.
The male of today has a lot to do to catch up with the developments
that are actively recreating the psyche of modern woman, and what does
man do but pretend woman is all Mary and attempts to put his head on her
bosom, better he put it on the chopping block because Babalon will destroy
him for his ignorance. Man must learn the ways of Horus if he is to survive
in his quest for the supreme lady."found here:

Book Review By Dale Jungk For:
Juno's Peacock by Jeremi Handrinos
"Jeremi Britt Handrinos' first collection delivers an exemplary paradox of
the authenticity of life lived put into words. He toys with conventional forms
like a magician and throws off the surrogate voices of the past with his own
pure and stark imagery. Bold, free, raucous at times, Handrinos splits
the mundane, as sudden as a cut on the finger then leaves you to taste
your own blood. His collection now stands on the horizon for the world to see,
as he tells us: "In the distance a storm does grow Spinning eye pulls, strand
by strand There is a burning moon in Mexico So high and deep, I can't let go"
Like his poem "Las Gaviotas,"this young and ripening talentis here and you
can't let go of him. Juno's Peacock is one of the best poetry collections of the
year. Handrinos has found his voice and now shoulders the burden of what he
must write next. --- Dale Jungk , editor, The Sun Rising Poetry Press"
Revelation is this Rare Bird", March 8, 2006 Reviewer: Zayra Yves
"What characterizes Jeremi Handrinos first collection of poetry, Juno's Peacock,
is the life he brings to the "hero's journey" as we travel with him through layers
of myth resurrected in this young man's modern tale. He captivates his
audience within the realm of personal expression that is as tangible and present
as our daily lives, yet he takes us on a search through the spirit via a
prideful beautiful bird stolen right out of ancient folklore and myth without
any self consciousness or cunning. We are following him as one would follow
a shaman through the insights and reflections of primordial imagination grounded
in the every day plain language of a street bard. In all things Jeremi is honest.
He is full of generous insight as colorfull as the peacok. All the while he writes
with a subtle compassion married to its opposites of anger and raw emotion
collected from the excess of his own experiences. He offers us a rare glimpse
in poetry to move beyond the pale comforts of sofas into the terror, wisdom,
and triumph of bones walking the streets. If for no other reason, one might read
this first chronicle of an archetypical journey because it is as contagious as
the myths and his perception of life. One can feel the transcendence as it
comes through with vocal passion, open ended and resurrected. Above all
else Jeremi's wit and hard core twist of truths pull back the curtains of heaven
for the essence of the bird to fly free. He is a modern day shaman walking
the streets in a t-shirt. Follow him. He will share his secrets and his story
will transform you."
My second book 'Kidnapped' Featuring my poem 'Temporal',
Will be released on some pending date.
Here is Ed Peterson's review Of Temporal, following the poem:
Temporal
Leaning upon the newel
I followed you down circular
out into the square;
There was a burst of birds
A quickening of step
A nuance of eternal chances,
and the surety of rain.
I saw a man near a statue
Steam pounced from his face
up and out against the Azure
He had a paper, and it had him
There was a clock looming,
and shadows curling through vista
The river, black, snaked in daylight
You were singing of Summer -
- you were barely chest high
A basket of fresh bread hooked
from your arm, rubbed at your side
Top buttons open, periwinkle dress -
- cascading about your pale ankles
You smelled of Vanilla and morning
I stayed behind you until the bridge,
and that is where I let you go.
"Horus8, love him or hate him, is a skilled poet,
which is evidenced here in this strange and beautiful poem,
which is at once narrative, earthy and abstract.
It could be classified as horror, if one views the narrator as
a predator who is stalking his young, toothsome prey.
It could also be a love poem...ie: A father watches his
daughter as she leaves for school, or the market place,
bouncing as she wends her way, as young girls will do.
"Temporal" could also be read to be simply about a young man,
somewhat shy and afraid, watching a young woman,
whom he dare not approach, and he loves her from afar.
This could then be a poem about the fundamental isolation
we experience as humans, unable to connect to one another,
save from a distance. And, really, these takes just scratch the
surface, because Horus8 has left much open to interpretation,
as I believe most good poets do. Regardless of how we interpret
the content of the poem, we must concede that this is an
exceptionally beautiful poem, for its author uses words like a
painter employs his paint, with a deft and sensitive hand.
In the opening stanza, we are immediately struck by the stark
contrast of opposites (this is no accident, the poet is Greek)
which creates a delicious tension that will continue to build
throughout the poem, a push and pull that moves the poem
along and gives it its impetus… we have circular/square,
and eternal chances/the surety of rain. And the “burst of birds”
evokes both a visual explosion, and an auditory fluttering behind
the ephemeral scene in which a girl, young and pretty, delicate even
(she just comes chest high), walks along unaware of being followed.
But, followed by whom? We are not explicitly told, and herein lies
the mysterious element of the poem. Is the narrator a malignant stalker?
A benevolent admirer? A lover, wishing to remain anonymous and aloof?
Could the narrator be God? (God, to me, makes for the most intriguing
narrator, as He lets her go down by the snaking, black river.)
He could be anyone, and that is what is so appealing. We are allowed
to fill in the holes, to write along with the poet and stage a play in our
imaginations. In the second stanza, there is a darkness growing.
We have the black river. The word “snake” appears.
(If the girl in the poem has a name, let it be Eve.)
A clock looms as "shadows curl". Curl? One of the things
I love most about reading poetry is finding unusual word choices that
work… He writes “shadows curl”, and I say, “Wow, I never would
have thought of that!” It works. Also, we have more of that tension
still lingering from the first stanza, and renewed in the second,
created in the simplest and most elegant way… by a man who holds
a newspaper that holds him. The holder is held, and the held is holder
Makes me think of the snake eating its tail, it both devours and is devoured.
Then, in the third stanza, we are introduced to the “you” in the poem, by way
of a description so effortless, subtle and deftly handled that we are placed there
in the scene, as observers able to identify with both the young woman
described and her describer. What sensitive and powerful poetry is contained
here in these descriptions, of which “pale ankles” is a highlight. Just perfect.
Then, like a true poet, Horus8 employs exquisite timing, as he wraps up with
a quick, punchy couplet, sending us, away wondering, wanting more, and just
interested and confused enough to read it again, and again, and again
That final phrase, “I let you go,” rings out like an echo in the cobbled
square…by a bridge that I imagine is lined with flowers and spans a
softly twittering stream (back to the birds) “I let you go”…
What a beautifully clear, yet wide-open phrase with which to end a
stunning poem, a masterpiece filled with nuance and surety, circular
yet square, a timeless work that challenges the mind and fills the senses,
while celebrating all that is temporal."
