i am kate.
i am a creative writing major/philosophy minor & no, i don't know what i'm going to do with that.
i am a literary nerd & you'd often see me with my nose pressed to the pages of some book or another. i'm also a music freak so i'll also always have headphones on. i guess this all makes me look pretty antisocial but i'm really just off in my own world.
i am an avid fan of old typewriters, beat poetry, vinyl, indie, noise rock and folk music, staying up all night chain smoking and drinking coffee with good friends, braiding hair, crocheting lumpy scarves, the smell of cinnamon, irony, snarky commentary and zombie movies.
i go through bouts of using this site and i've had it for a long time so it is kind of interesting to see how my style has, well, hopefully improved since i began using it. i am a huge fan of beat poetry but i don't know if that shows in what i write or not. most of my poems are about events that are incredibly intimate to me & that's why i love when you, the faceless stranger, leave me feedback.
