OK I thought it was time I updated a bit about me having read some other people's pages.

I live in the Fens of Cambridgeshire (which is an agricultural area so it's very flat but with 'great big skies' ...), with my husband and lovely family ... no dog yet but we do have a cat called Spook who isn't the most loving and sociable creature!

** UPDATE: We now have a dog!! Ollie the Staffy joined our family on 01Sep10. .... and now a cat called Frankie has joined us too on 25Sep111

Anyway here's a poem I wrote which explains a little more about me and where the name HOJADARO came from:

The name Hojadaro was born from me
I wanted something to help set me free
I chose the name from two bundles of joy
Picked first from my girl and then from my boy
They've given me a new identity
And helped me to find some serenity

More than a Mum, the new role created
Given a life, that I'd long awaited
So now as a family we all can grow
And something of my name you now know
My family run through everything I write
Usually start when they wake me at night!

Ho Ja comes from my daughter Holly Jade
As from my babes names with letters I played
Da Ro came from Danny Robert, my son
I wanted a name fuelled with love and fun
It keeps them close as I write to enjoy
Using writing as my housework decoy

So now you know some more about me
I'm just a mum with love, simple really
Always wondered what I was born to do
But having the kids gave me a clue
As now I remember there's more to life
Than working, worrying and general strife
