Hello,
My name is Brooke. You can call me whatever you like tho, just don't be rude. I'm a junior in highschool, an honor roll student, and I plan on majoring in Architecture. Perhaps at Drexel U. or University of Penn, who knows. I love to read and write. I want to publish a book of poems and perhaps a novel eventual. I also love math and science. All around nerd I guess you could say. I go to a boarding school. It's different but it saved my life, perhaps I'll tell you how someday. I'm very lucky. I live with my grandparents along with my four younger siblings. I also have the most wonderful boyfriend. You know the type; sweet, smart, talented, and he calls me beautiful every day. The type of guy you hope to marry....but then again I'm only in highschool so we will have to wait and see where life takes us.

From his evil eyes.

He finds me weeping
He shouts ugly words,
He says its my fault
That he suffers at work.
He slaps me and hits me
And yells at me more,
I finally get free
And I run for the door.
He's already locked it
And I start to bawl,
He takes me and throws me
Against the hard wall.
I fall to the floor
With my bones nearly broken,
And my daddy continues
With more bad words spoken.
"I'm sorry!", I scream
But its now much too late
His face has been twisted
Into unimaginable hate.
The hurt and the pain
Again and again.
Oh please God, have mercy!
Oh please let it end!
And he finally stops
And heads for the door,
While I lay there motionless
Sprawled on the floor.

Isn't it funny that when you go to the shops with your friends you look down at the girl with black jeans and studs but smile at the girl wearing a mini with a t-shirt that barely cover anything?

Isn't it funny you can change your music taste to impress a guy but when it comes to a girl who likes her own music and her own style, you give her a mouthful?
