GwendolineShow poetry

Hello

I write for various product review sites, and am also on photography sites (nothing erotic!) . I also enjoy writing poetry, so have joined AP to see how I get on.

I have a very emotionally heavy job, so you may find my poems are quite light hearted - I use poetry as a form of escapism. I am not expert by any means, and for anyone from Britain, I am probably more of your Ogden Nash or Pam Ayres, than Shakespeare!

When reading my poetry, please note that I am a story teller who tends to use the 'first person' technique, and that they are not usually about me personally. If they do say 'personal' however, then it means that I have drawn from my own life.

A little bit of personal stuff. I have four adult children, and have just become a grandmother for the first time. I love cats. I love nature. I live in Kent, England.

I look forward to e-meeting other members!

Clerihew written for me by Cricketjeff:

An AP poet, Gwendoline
Wrote Clerihews like vintage wine
And now I've come to read her verse
I'll tell her I've seen many worse!

Clerihew written for me by Aimiemae:

Gwen my dear
Your talent's clear
So let it flow
Go girl go!

Thanks, you two!!

I just read your profile after reading some of your poetry and was 'tickled' to discover that you live in kent. I thought as from one Kentonian to another I would say hi. Congratulations on becoming a grandma too, so much more relaxed and enjoyable being a grandparent! I really like what I have read of yours so far...it has an honest directness about it. I am looking forward to reading more. regards...Angie (Ashford, Kent)
