Midnight Lovers

As the night sky falls upon the Earth
I lay my head down to rest
Falling into a deep sleep,
only to be dreaming of *him*.

I see his face, so happy
And always filled with a smile,
Looking into his eyes deeply
Searching for love

He wraps me in his arms of comfort
Simply making me melt into him
As if nothing in the world
At that exact moment, matters

I dream of holding him forever
With a smile across my face
Knowing he won't judge, and
He'll always be by my side

I dream of a future we have together
Living the American dream,
Having children and a house
Maybe even a pet or two.

Other nights, when I awake
I feel a little more special
Reluctantly waking from a fairytale
With my very own prince.
