So, my book signing this month was a little better than the one last month. I managed to sell 4 books this time! I even got to read some poems. Unfortunately, the weather last weekend was miserable here on the east coast, rainy and cold, which I'm sure hindered the turnout. But I'll keep plugging away at it while I work on book number 2.
I am trying to branch out to different styles of poetry, mainly I just write and however it sounds best to me is how I leave it. I need to be inspired to write my best stuff and thankfully, my muse always finds a way to twist me inside out. So I really have no choice but to write...that or go insane with the thoughts/questions in my head. Well, I hope you like my stuff. But don't be afraid to tell me if you don't, I'm a big boy I can handle it. If you think I might need to try something, suggest it. (try that is with my poetry....)
My latest challenge to myself is to take all my current poetry and redo them as Haiku. So now, I ask you out there to look at them and give me some feedback. If I haven't posted the original poem it goes with, I will, so you can let me know if the Haiku can convey a similar feeling as the original.
