I'm always amazed that seemly ordinary people can put together such extraorinary poetry. I'm amazed that such talent lies hidden in each of us.
I'm so glad all poetry gives us a chance to show that talent.
God give each of us abilities we don't know that we have.
I'm an American Baptist, mostly because of family ties, but I respect all forms of belief, and even those who do not believe.
When I say God I am refering to that first cause that created us all, and the whole world too: not knowing what that first cause is, which makes it mysterious and therefore intesting.
I do know the feeling I get when I am at church: a feeling of forgiveness, tolerace, understanding, unselfish concern for our mutual well--being.
Therefore my poetry will relate, in some way, to God and her influence on our lives.
Did you know that Sophia is the female side of God. Some consider her God's wife. She is called knowledge. So philosophy is love of Sophia: love of knowledge.
So that is why I am on this site: to experience the knowledge that is in each of you which I hope I can capture and add to my own.
So you see, God made the rules, but only after consulting Sophia for the wisdom to make good rules.

  • Okay, I'm doing what the advisor told me I should do, and this will make things better. Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009, Gretchen (my wife) began talking in an odd way again. It is someway out of joint? I mean it is hard to describe, but it is like an old recording with pieces missing. It is the oddest thing. Something
  • My wife and I grew up in the same area: the lonely wind swept plains of rural Nebraska. We knew each other as children: attended the same school, have the same friends, her brothers were friends of my brothers. We did attend different churchs: she at the Baptist church, I at the considerably more liberal Disciples of
