i have not been on allpoetry for a very long time - and boy have i missed this site! i found myself making up rhymes in my head on my holiday in spain a few weeks ago and realised suddenly - i've been having symptoms of missing poetry. and so - here i am again.

hopefully my poems will entertain you, maybe even impress you - although i doubt that! i'm nothing compared to the real poets on this site, guys - you should def think about publishing!!

anyways (sorry for the occasional slang words born from chats on msn messenger) i hope that i'll see you soon, please leave a comment and i will write back immediatly (or as soon as possible anyway!)

thanks

love laura x

    The meanings are as follows

    VLADIMIR
    Gender: Masculine
Usage: Russian, Serbian, Croatian, Slovene, Bulgarian, Macedonian
Other Scripts: Владимир (Russian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Macedonian)
    Pronounced: vla-DEE-meer (Russian), VLAD-i-meer [key]
Means "to rule with greatness" or "to rule with peace", derived from the Slavic element volod "rule" combined with mer "great, famous" or mir "peace". This was the name of an 11th-century Grand Duke of Kiev who is venerated as a saint because of his efforts to Christianize Russia. It was also borne by the founder of the former Soviet state, Vladimir Ilyich Lenin.

    KIRK
    Gender: Masculine
    Usage: English
    Pronounced: KURK [key]
From a surname meaning "church" from Old Norse kirkja.

I hope you enjoyed my Column
