Hi! My first name is Galyn, which means girl of the sun in American Indian. I was born in San Francisco, California on August 11,1979. My astrological sign is Leo, and my moon is in Aries with Scorpio rising. I grew up half my life on the west coast, half on the east, a little down south, and currently live in Vegas. I have been make a living as a dancer since age seventeen. I am also a naturally talented artist and writer. My dream is to become a lyricist, write and autobiography, and become a professional artist. I attended Baltimore School for the Arts for highschool. 2pac and Jada Pinkett also went there. My teenage years were spendt listening to groups like Babes in Toyland, Marilyn Manson, Bikini Kill, L7, Hole ,Lynard Skynard, NIN, Korn, Pink Floyd, Mobb Deep, and the Gravediggaz. I also spendt a few years raving to techno, trance, jungle, breakbeat, and house music. From fifth through ninth grade I attended catholic school where I felt like no one understood me. This caused me to rebel. An outcast and antisocial by choice,I like to read alot. English and Art were always my best subjects. I love writing poetry with a passion. It is pure therapy for me. I'd go crazy if I didn't have a way to express myself in such an immediateley gratifying way as poetry. On December 13th, 2005, I had to break up with my boyfriend Rob due to his physical abuse.It broke my heart.I loved him but I have to love myself first and love myself enough to know that I deserve better than that. I still miss him but he wasn't willing to change his abusive ways and be a good boyfriend. Even the fact that he would'nt change and acted like I just had to live with him abusing me was abusive in itself.What a freak!!! It's like,go get some help before you kill someone! He refused to change but I believe it's okay to ask someone to change if they are abusing you!!!Duh. Anyways,he inspired me to write alot of beautifull poetry and I am slowly but surely getting over him. I hope that somehow I can help others through my words.
