walked different paths,

miles screamed

dots connected

too far

watched puddles dry
while skies mourned

family called now
but poetry sang
home

a look over the edge
of words
reflection

Love Portrait
I picture me and you in the shade
sipping lemonade
Smiling at each other listening to
the ocean’s serenade
As it soothes our minds and
awakens our desire
To ignite our passion
to feel each other’s fire
We then retire to our log cabin
on the beach
Our senses excited because love is
within reach
I unlock the door, our lips lock,
we fall to the floor,
close the door with our feet
and begin to
explore

girl you got my mind twisting and turning
my body's yearning to feel your burning
flames of passion and learning
what it is that excites me about you
maybe it's those sexy words you write that make me want to get into
your brilliant mind and seek what i can find
i hear echoes from the gecko but i can't see, i'm blind
but over time i hope to restore my sight
