I have a variety of styles. It all depends on my mood, what I'm going through, health. Many variables!
I have always enjoyed playing with words, so poetry is a development of that.
I started writing humorous songs and poems when my eldest daughter was 15. We performed at a Church camp and things have snowballed from that time.
I write anecdotal biographies for my family's special occasions.
One lady from church asked me once when am I going to do serious poetry, as I only ever did humorous pieces. I had three teenagers at home at the time. I could not do serious poetry then. How can you with all those hormones racing around? Now if it was about world war three...
One of the aims I have for my poetry now is for people to develop an interest in the Old Testament. I read Zephaniah in June 2005 and was so cheered by chapter 3(it has only 3 chapters), I was inspired to write a poem on it. So I read Nehemiah, and wrote a poem on that. By this time I was hooked! And so the addiction began...

That's why I spend lots of time
Writing words that will rhyme!
