Sometimes I write...more oft'n than not and most are written on the spot.
"Not very good, are mine" I say, but I'll keep writing anyway.
I feel the urge to write because it's therapeutic, bringing pause
to all the avenues of dread that rattle 'round inside my head.
So I'll be scratching in my book or memorizing lines that took
a fractured moment to think up while slipping rum within a cup.
My will is well, my mind is ill but in this hell, many a thrill.
A thrilling verse, enthralling rhymes seem to suspend this Earthly time.
