there was a time when i believed in the classic fairy tale princess story - girl meets perfect boy, falls head over heels at first sight, finds out that the boy loves her too, and they live, in love with each other until the end of time, happily ever after. i was a sucker for heartwrenching love stories, and i thought that somewhere out there, my true love, my knight in shining armour, my Noah Calhoun was needing me just as much as i was needing him, and someday, somehow, despite the great wide world and all the forces working against us, we would find each other. i was THE biggest sap on the face of the earth.
then, i opened my eyes.
and life is much, much different.
there is no such thing as true love. that was something devised by man long ago, something that no one on this earth has ever truly felt, something that people can only imagine. and i know now that there is no prince charming out there for me. i am destined for no one, and no one is destined for me.
i've been feeling very empty lately and would just like it if someone hugged me once and a while.
then, i opened my eyes.
