"I wish they would only take me as I am" Vincent Van Gogh

"Darkness can not drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." -Martin Luther King Jr.

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind" -Ghandi

"When are you people going to learn? It's not about who's right or wrong. No denomination has nailed it yet, and they never will, because they're all too self-righteous to realize that it doesn't matter what you have faith in, just that you have faith. Your heart is in the right place, but your brains need to wake up." -Dogma

Love is patient; love is kind, and envies no one. Love is never boastful, nor conceited, nor rude; never selfish, nor quick to take offense. Love keeps no scores of wrongs; does not gloat over other men's sins, but delights in the truth. There is nothing love cannot face; there is no limit to its faith, its hope and its endurance. There are three things that last forever: faith, hope and love; but the greatest of these is love. -1 Corinthians 13:4-13

"When I despair I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants and murderers and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall. Think of it;... always." -Ghandi

"I'm like angy at numbers" "Yeah there's like... too many of them and stuff" -Bevis and Butthead

"So called beauty is when people see me up at 3 in the morning holding a bottle of courage spilling my heart out to them with no makeup on, wearing nothing but my bra, jeans and my heart"

Probably it took a baby-boomer like me... who has heard of things like Little Boxes.
Which is kind of odd and sad, because the "youth" of 2004 are growing up in the sucky little boxes world ... the corporate-fueled conformity is a disease.
    Good story, anyway. Thanks

I came here via your "quotes" contest...had to check it out...and you do have some good ones here. My fave would have to be the one about the baby in the tittie bar, followed closely by the one about numbers...Bevis and Butthead.

An odd and eclectic collection...but very entertaining.
