I am 47 years old, I enjoy reading, writing poems & short stories, web design and spending time with my family especially my Grandbabies. I began writing poetry as a means of therapy. Through counseling I have learned that one way or another the toxins festering inside me need to come out. My past is something I have always had a hard time sharing with other people but through my poetry I can release some of the pent up emotions that have kept me in a world of hurt for a lot of years. I want myself and others to break the silence and expose the horrific truths of incest and other sexual abuses. The statistics would blow your mind... look how many poems on this site alone deal with child abuse in one form or another.I refuse to be silenced any longer and I hope others feel the same way...
