I've been writing since I was a child...a long time.
I write to express my feelings
and put onto paper that which I seem unable to speak.

I have never studied poetry,
so please bear with me and be kind.

My personal thought about poetry is
that it should evoke some feeling in the reader:

laughter,anger, tears or whatever.
If it does not make the reader feel,
it is just ramblings and not poetry.
I hope you find something here that makes you feel.

A few of my favorite quotes.

"Where there is great love, there are always wishes."
Willa Cather

"Dreams are the touchstones of our character".
Henry David Thoreau

"Wishing to be friends is quick work,
but friendship is a slow ripening fruit".
Aristotle

The poet doesn't invent. He listens.
Jean Cocteau

To imagine is everything,
to know is nothing at all.

Existence would be intolerable
if we were never to dream.
Anatole France

The weak can never forgive.
Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
Mohandas Gandhi

Love never dies a natural death.
It dies because we don't know how to replenish it's source.
It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals.
It dies of illness and wounds;
it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.
Anais Nin

Thank you for commenting on my poem "Stone Sober"... I have yet to finish it, I cannot bring myself to do so, for I fear the outcome of the entire situation. Alas inspiration must come from somewhere... otherwise how would we be able to understand and express our creativity... the best forms of art are built based on tragedy... once again, thank you. I will return the favor the very second I have a moment to myself...right now I'm in a bit of a rush. Take care.

Thank you for your feedback. It is appreciated! I did struggle with that line. May I consult you if I'm stuck like that again. I'll definitely include in you in my writing, if you wouldn't mind.
    Thanks again
