Elemental angel• Show poetry

 
 
 
 

I don't even know if I've got a style, Or a favourite style I'm definatly growing the more I write and the more I experiment. I like to rhyme but I like the written word in whatever form. I'm 37 years old and I have 2 kids, a daughter who's nearly 18 and a son who's 16, 

I live most of my life on another planet usually trying to escape this one lol. I've used poetry as a form of self help for a number of years and it continues to help me in some way, shape or form every single day of my life.

 

I took on an allotment in march this year {2008} and my life hasn't been the same since, instead of sitting in the house doing nothing but drink coffee and spending hour after hour on the computer, I find that I hardly have time for the pc anymore, I am outside everyday tending to my plants, I am growing every vegetable you can imagine and a few you wouldn't even dream I could grow in this english climate, but one thing I have definatly learned since I took on my plot is that life will find a way, everything just wants to live. I feel closer to nature than I have ever felt in my whole life and I love it. I even have a shed, a greenhouse and a beautiful natural pond which is just bursting {literally sometimes lol} with wildlife.

elemental angel

ease the mind -
let dreams drift beauty,
everything is invisible,
moments are stretched into love,
each breath saturates emotional quavers,
nowhere can i find the door
that opened into reality's realm,
all i see now is colour,
licking the paint off tomorrow.


angles strike angels,
near the shine -
glass thoughts split
emptiness into love,
let the spirit dance life's pause.

    Thankyou for posting and hosting the contest in respect of Jade Goody, sadly, passing away.

    I never met Jade, like a lot of people I grew to know of her because of her status as a celebrity via reality t.v.

    I could not find the words which I wished to say poetically, or I would have entered your contest, and I still hope to pay tribute to her when I am able to find the words.


    I watched her funeral on Saturday, albeit via live coverage on Sky, and was heartwarmed by the genuine, heartfelt, love and sorrow felt by so many ordinary people like myself, for this extraordinary ordinary Essex girl who made as laugh with her gauche gaffe's, who never pretended to be anything other than who she was, who was brave enough to do something postive for women whilst she was dying.



    Much to my dismay I heard earlier that Micheal Parkinson is quoted in the press as saying " it's a sad indicment of how low society is when it mourns for a reality t.v. star who was ignorant like Jade"


    I sincerely hope he has been misquoted for education is a privilege she did not have and he did, despite Jade being uneducated she did not disrespect anyone who had just lost their life, and I wish I could personally say to Mr MP that it is manners that maketh the man, and apparently, his are lacking.
