pine-needles on April 16, 2006luv monologue_madness... read it about 5-6 times (keeps deleting my comments)... luv the clever things they say, even if its a bit formal and not the most realistic all the time.
and some of it hit dangerously close 2 home.
some awesome lines:
"You cannot fix a cliché without rewriting it and I, my friend, write in pen! Shall I cross myself out and start over?”"- i LUV this line!
"or I want to reach out and grab someone and love them and cherish them and squeeze the fucking life out of them."
"“One hundred fucking years is not fucking long enough.”
“I do not disagree.”"
some just seem a bit 2 stiff though:
"But so /calm/ – so damned calm, like I need something at peace to give me advice!"
"“Then why do I feel so put-down, so useless, and so stupid? Why, even though everyone dotes on me, I feel like I am worth nothing?"
also, i dont think the whole thing about rei and daniel works. seems 2 contrived.
still, i thought this was a pretty clever take on those constant internal converstions. the human mind is a fascinating thing, and hard to capture on paper. not a bad job of it here!
