so my pen name is dustytiger, i want to say the name has some great meaning but i just like it honestly. my real name is trista. i realised when i was twelve that i could express my feelings through poetry when my mom let me keep my cat another year (until he got too sick) when she wanted me to find him a new home. i write as a way to help me stress down, deal with a problem, or just to tell others about how i see the world around me. when i just type for the sake of typing i tend to not use caps, but when i'm writing for stories and poetry i try to use proper grammar; but i learned how to read and write in french before english so i'm far from perfect.
now for some stuff that's not about writing. i am a very happily single and tend to be a little bit jaded about love. i have two nephews and niece who are starting to inspire my writing a little, although my friends and family have always gotten my creative juices flowing. i am not a religious person but i do believe that there is something out there; i also think you can be spiritual without having being part of an organised religion. i am a peacenik, so my political views are very left leaning. i have a passion for learning about the world around me, and music is my driving force.
i currently live just outside of ottawa, ontario, canada and was born in montreal, quebec. i can speak both english and french; sometimes french slips into my english work.
other activities i enjoy are; activism, yoga, walking, reading, photography, rocking out, and lots of other things.
i am still new at all poetry but so far i am very much enjoying this site, there is so much talent on here and unlike certain other sites you have a lot more creative freedom and there are actually users of all ages which is nice.

Haunt now quiet moments -
It’s the end of the world, and we’re all invited
Everything will die soon and we’ll all know why
