Actually, i know nothing about poetry but i still write some good poems. I think if i put some extra efforts i would be able to write great poems.
I'm science student and never studied literature, but really love to read poems. I read poems by African Authors like Gabriel Okara, Kwesi Brew... and i just taught of writing one and not just reading.
I would love to hear from poets here who really know what makes a good poetry good. I would also welcome suggestions from everyone who reads my poems and think i need to know something.
Some of my best poems are; "Blind Conceit, Dark and lonely and Motherland"

^_^ haha thanks for the extremely long comment on my poem.. Yeah i was about to applaud your comment, cuz, yeah usually i don't think people will enjoy my pieces... i guess i stand corrected. =) I'm a student currently enrolled in some High school, but i'm taking two collage courses so i had a bunch of summer assignments. Thanks again for your words. I really appreciate (obviously you can tell i have a bad spelling problem haha) it alot. it really cheered me up. Thanks!
