I'm an old fashioned, conservative Irish Catholic from New Orleans...First AR, now NC; I'm gettin' tired of this movin' business, but this state is pretty. 
English is my life; I've recently obtained a M.A. in the field and have been in love with literature since I had sense enough to know one thing from another. Poetry is in my blood...my Ma wrote: actually she did nearly everything in the way of art, and so I strive to serve her memory well. She was commended to God's grace 30, Dec. 2006.
I am grateful to the friends I've found on this site for both helping me to grow as a poet and for simply being impressively wonderful people. I always know there's a smile to be found either in their work or their companionship.
One of my favorite hymns is:
On Eagles Wings
You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord
who abide in His shadow for life,
say to the Lord: 'My refuge,
my God in whom I trust!'
And He will raise you up on eagles' wings,
bear you on the breath of dawn,
make you to shine like the sun,

Song of the Heart on October 29, 2008Hi Sweetie!
I just wanted to let you know that I added a new piece to my poetry. It is song lyrics, but I thought that you might enjoy reading it. I know that the hour is growing late, but it has been a productive night. As a matter of fact, the entire day has been rather productive.
