I'm an old fashioned, conservative Irish Catholic from New Orleans. Last year I was dealt the worst hand of cards I could ever imagine life handing me: here's to a new year and better times.
English is my life; I've recently obtained a M.A. in the field and have been in love with literature since I had sense enough to know one thing from another. Poetry is in my blood...my Ma wrote: actually she did nearly everything in the way of art, and so I strive to serve her memory well. She was commended to God's grace 30, Dec. 2006.
I am grateful to the friends I've found on this site for both helping me to grow as a poet and for simply being impressively wonderful people. I always know there's a smile to be found either in their work or their companionship.

Song of the Heart on August 21Hi Sweetie!
I know that the hour is growing late, but it has been a productive night. As a matter of fact, the entire day has been rather productive.
I have submitted two other pieces since we spoke this morning. I sincerely hope that you will read and comment on them so that I will have the opportunity to discuss them with you. I love you very much! -
