I am a highschool art teacher, have been since 1972. I'm very proud of the creative and sophisticated work done by my students. They have received national attention and award. As a visual artist, I find great satisfaction in encouraging young people to stretch their horizons through the interdisciplinary processes I have found necessary for achieving unique and personal imagery. Writing poetry has been one of these processes. There is such a marriage of right-left brain information when delving into this elevated realm. One catches a brief gestalt of meaning not possible in any other way. This can be translated into visual terms with magic results.
