Okay, so this is the first official round of The Unplanned Rounds… and you guess it, this round was completely Unplanned! We didn’t know we were doing it until last night!
Last round, you guys really brought it… but this round, your going to have to bring it even harder. Chandni and I have a challenge up our sleeves for you 36!
This round, I would like to call “TOTAL DRAMA QUEEN” because this round you are writing based off The Thirty-Six Dramatic Situations. This is a list that was created by this dude named Georges Polti, a pretty cool guy. He wanted to show every dramatic situation that could possibly be the basis of any story/tale/stage play/etc. The following were the 36 that he found…

Now, YOUR job is to write about one of these dramatic situations. Use it as a metaphor, talk about the emotion behind it, create characterization of someone in that situation, or personify the situation itself. These are just a few ideas. Just make sure it has some sort of poetic device, imagery, depth, creativity, and MOST OF ALL: emotion. This round we only want POETRY.
Remember, there are thirty-six contestants and thirty-six situations. Each situation has to be used! Obviously, some situations are easier then others and some are much harder. It is up to you. We are allowing you to choose which situation you want put it is on a first come, first serve basis.
In order to select your situation, comment on this contest page with your choice. BUT before doing do, make sure you have checked the comments in order to make sure that the one you want hasn't already been picked.
Also, in order for less clutter, please do NOT comment this contest page unless it is your situation pick or a question. This is important.
Deadline: Midnight, AP Time, January 10th, 2009.
