The Mystery Poem Quote Prompt Contest Part 1

*Please Read Full Instructions Before Entering*

For this contest I would like you to choose one number between 1 and 15 and I will send you a quote excerpt from one of my poems to use as your prompt. The excerpt will either be one line, a couple of lines or a full verse, so it will be varied. Either use the comments box at the bottom of the contest page, or send me a message giving me your chosen number and your username, so that I can mark that prompt as taken by you. Please put the prompt given in your Author's Notes, this is a curtesy to people reading your poem as much as it is for me, so that I know which prompt is which.

If you choose a number and you dont think you can work with it, pick another and I will send you another, however if you can not work with the second choice then I will not send another.

If you choose a number that someone has already chosen, I will ask you to choose another. I will try to keep up to date with numbers that are taken as much as possible, but I cannot be on 24 hours a day so it may be possible that more than one person may choose a number when I am offline. The person that chooses the number first will be given that prompt, if somone else has chosen it, I will ask them to pick again.

Contest will remain open until all 15 prompts are chosen. HM's may be added. Please read and abide by the rules.

Below is a list of numbers and who they are taken by (open prompts have no username beside them).

Thanks, and I appreciate that greatly, however, you never asked for a prompt and seem to have either misunderstood the contest, or just entered a piece anyway, therefore unfortunately I am going to have to remove it.

If you wish to enter, please follow the instructions of the contest.

      Many thanks.

You try to stay detached, uncaring,

This time, just how far will you go?” – taken from 'Moments Of Madness'

      Many, many thanks.

Sorry, whilst I was offline overnight, someone bagged number 11 before you (unless it was yourself that reserved it and didn't tell me your username).

Please feel free to choose another number.

If all the numbers are taken and you still want to enter, just let me know and I will add five more prompts (15 -20).

      Many thanks.

Sorry, whilst I was offline overnight, someone beat you to number 1. Could you please choose another number?

However, there are only two numbers left, so if they are already taken by the time you choose again, just message me to let me know and I'll add another five prompts (no.15 - 20).

      Many thanks.

Sorry, unfortunately, it isn't open. Someone posted a poem up reserving the spot for it, they just haven't sent me their username yet. I can still definately give you No.20, if you still want that one instead?

      Poem Prompt No.20 is:

"To the heart of the world
      This construct sees
      At last with feeling

I have become sadness” – taken from ‘Becoming’

If this one doesn't suit, please feel free to message me with one of the remaining numbers.

      Poem Quote No.19 is:

“I have felt your rage mixed with mine,
in bewilderment, I saw the truths you spoke unfold,
surprised, I felt your compassion’s touch,
never in eternity, can I forget,

the roar of your shout and the sound of your laughter.” taken from ‘Glasyalabolas: Locust Lord’
