` bits of blue sky in your smile.
` chemistry residue of polaroid memories.
` & i walk past her
sending tornadoes and blackouts.
` midnight walks on neon streets.
` tasting raindrops under brittle skies.
` antiseptic whites on marble floors.
` strangers with names.
` stardust flitting through her/his smile.
` coloring blacks & whites.
` under messy heaps of charades
& lousy pretend games.
` papercut hearts and nylon strings.
` adernaline rush between caffeine kicks.
` memory lanes and forgotten names.
` it reminds me of nothing;
and sometimes that’s better.
` even blue skies burn sometimes.
` we might as well replace ourselves
with portraits and audio tapes.
` as fireflies flew between our dialogue
and brushed against our skins.
` so when you went, there were a few eclipses, storms
and a thousand other raindrops.
but in your world, I guess it was just sunshine.

Sounds great

Oh, just noticing, but you have 30 invited poets (or so) and only 20 entries allowed. -
=] I'll get started ASAP!
-
Have you bookmarked
-
I have a question, are we allowed to enter prose? The idea that I have right now, I think, would be easier to write in prose form rather than poetry. If not, I could probably make it work. But I just want to make sure before I write it and it doesn't fit.
-
Oh, crap! I still have to get my entry in! I guess that's what I'll be working on after this!
-
Whoops...I completely forgot about this. Sorry, guys :'(
