This is for poems of ten lines or less.
Enter as often as you like.
Enter all your short poems if you like. If you don't have any, you can write some new ones.
The one and only rule is: If I have already commented on your poem, you can not enter it.
I promise to comment on every poem that is entered, but I do give honest comments. If I don't like it, I will tell you that I don't like it. If you can't handle that, then don't enter.
Now, let's have some fun.
How many entries can we get? Let's go for the record.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on May 26, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 14 people
- Final notes: Thank you all for entering my contest. There were 358 entries. I was slightly overwhelmed. I think I commented on every poem entered. I know that I read every one. This was very hard to judge because there were so many excellent writes entered. The HMs are in no particular order and probably would have won a trophy in many of my other contests. It was very hard to narrow it down to three winners, but I did the best that I could.

*cannot is one word

These are excerpts from online dictionaries:
Am, is, or are, not able; -- written either as one word or two.
Cannot is sometimes also spelled can not. The one-word spelling is by far the more common: Interest rates simply cannot continue at their present level.
Many dictionaries define cannot as: as a contraction for can not.
Many dictionaries also define cannot simply as: can not. -

'Cannot' has always looked better to me...personal pet peeve I guess. Still, good to know that both are valid.
