I didn't really check out the poetry but the picture posted of her on that site sure does look like her last avatar she used on here. Did you see the picture??? Same eyes and forehead and all but who knows could be a HUH factor?

I went to a couple of her family members' pages and saw that she was listed as "absent" and even "deceased" which made me absolutely ill yesterday.

I saw that she hadn't deleted her contests and thought maybe she was just in the process of changing her page and got called away or something - but when I saw the "announcements" on people's pages, (which seemed premature if it was not known where she was) then I looked at my old contests, and saw that her poems are now gone.

I think I was the last one to speak to Lane three nights ago. We were entering a contest together and she told me she was "hunting and pecking" to type because of the "jammed thumb" that she had to have treated at 2AM the previous night. All I can figure is that the thumb is too painful or cumbersome to type and this is her way of taking a break...AND staying connected with us at the same time....which, I'm sure is massively humorous to her because she has now plenty to read with everyone bemoaning her exit. lol

Just for clarification, I can go to Lane's page, it's just that it's empty, not gone. It has the color that she left it in and I can send messages to her, but there are no return messages back.
Is this what you have experienced Cannonsfire?
Just making sure I don't have anything showing on her page, more than you do.

I see that you do not allow pre-writes. But I have already written my goodbye to Dalaney. Another would be superfluous - I can't say more than I already have about my kissin' cousin. Would you consider allowing pre-writes?

Lane has contacted a friend on AP to say that she will not be back. She is currently not online much. The inkblotsandfinethread blog is hers it refers to a poem she wrote about her parents. She has not updated it since before she left AP. Many of us hope that she will be back, but it isn't likely to be for quite a while.
All the best in all you do Lane. You made a difference and are greatly missed.

I went to her author's page ... it is not possible to take out the default info ... that info is gone when you take out the 'hide' and remove the color from her page ... it is simply blank ... that is not possible, so this may be something she has arranged to do somehow beyond what is normally done ...
the link they have as her blog site is correct, and it has been there for several weeks but she has only made two entries on it ... the comments you can make are not disabled, but subject to her approval
.. that means you can still message her by making a comment on the butterfly poem there,,, which, by the way ,,, is one of the best she has ever written, and that is saying a lot !!!!
I hope she is ok. I hope she finds happiness. If that means she does not post here again, then I encourage her to be happy ...
