Once again, I’ve paired you up two and two (again, this has been done at random) and I’ve given each pair a prompt (again – this has also been at random).
Both poets in pair 1, will write an individual poem of prompt 1 and so on.
The pairs are:

I expect all of you to enter, since you all knew this was a round contest.
The prompts are:

2. Unknown
3. Key
4. Innocence
5. Silence
6. Nothingness
7. Silliness
So that’s it. You write a poem inspired by the prompt you’ve been given. This is round 2, where 14 poets are duelling, which is a total of 7 pairs. Out of each pair, one poet will win the duel and proceed to the next round, which will be with the same concept as this one.
Rules:
- Put your AP screen name, prompt and name of opponent in your author notes
- No chat speak
- No dirty pretty
- No prose
- Play nicely. No bashing of other poets and their work.
- You can only enter once.
- Try to comment on the other entries
So that’s about it! I will try to comment on all entries, but I will not applaud any!

So this was a really successful contest! Only two people didn’t enter, so I’m quite happy with it. Also, everybody proved that there is a reason why you are on the list of my favourite poets. I enjoyed reading all of your poetry, as it was just superb! The poets who ended up with no opponents are proceeding. Everybody else fought very well, and I’m only sorry that I can’t give you all a trophy and let your proceed. But if I did that, this contest would never end, so after a lot of consideration, this is the final winners:
