JUDGES
Hello there and welcome to the creative poet contest. This contest will be a series of rounds and different challenge's, the amount of rounds depends on the amount of entries recieved. My other round's contests have never quite succed to final round so perhaps we can do better on this one. However this is the audition round, and this is what we are looking for:
- Open minded poets
- Devoted poets
- Poets who are up for challenges
- Accept criticism
- Friendly
- Open for working with others
Each round will be different however I will give you clue as to what round one. Round one will contain lyrics, you will have to be inspired by these lyrics. And that is the only clue your getting.
For the audition round, we need to get to know you to see if you fit the criteria, so if you think you do then keep reading.
The audition round will consist of three segments and each one will need to be completed within the two weeks that this contest is open for. so, the segments are as follows:
- Segment one: question and answer time
- Authors name
- Age
- Genre of poetry
- Collaborations
- How many other round contests have you entered
- How often are you on AllPoetry
- who has been your inspiration to write
- Your likes
- Your dislikes
- Why are you auditioning
- Segment two: Describe yourself
In poetry or prose I want you to describe to me and the other judges, who you are, what makes you unique, why do you write poetry. Just you. If your going to be apart of this contest then it's a nice thing to get to know each other seen as we could be working with each other.
- Segment three: We challenge you to show us your best
Write a new piece of poetry or add in one of your old poems, but we want your best. however don't go for the one that you think will impress us most, choose the one you personally feel is your best write may it be old or new. we need to get to know your style of writing.
All segments must be entered in as ONE POEM
Point scheme
In order to make sure that we are judging this contest in a fair way we will be point your poems and adding them together. there will be 10 points for each poem and the points are awarded for:
- Uniqueness
- Vocabulary
- Metaphors
- Imagery
- Imagination
Not spelling and grammar, mainly because I wouldn't myself spot it out but also because this contest is about creativity, we want to see the imagination and the most wildest of things come alive and true. However we will not be pointing the audition round. the amount of people who go through to round one will depend on the amount of entrys that we recieve.
When we have reached the final round there will be three special awards made by myself that you can post on your page to show your success. This is mainly fun for myself as it gives me a new creation to make and prepare.
Rules
- Lable all entries correctly
- Keep language to a appropriate level
- Creativity!!!
- Any forms however NO STICKY CAPS
- if your on my block list dont winge, your there for a reason.
- if your not prepared to continue throughout then leave now.
- most of all, have fun Im a pretty laid back judge.
