project poetry season one [prewrite & fresh auditions]

Hii everyone.

Take note: if you are a multiround regular/know what you are doing, skip to the application.

My name is Chase. I'm hosting a multiround contest [thus the name project poetry] & I'm hosting auditions for this said contest. It will last about three to four months [yes, months] & at the end have a substantial amount of points given to the finalists.

I was hosting a fresh-write contest as an audition but I found it got a bit cluttered, so I'm closing that one up & starting this one. :]

If you want a full rundown of the contest, check it out here:

http://allpoetry.com/contest/2395947

To audition, please enter in your best pre-write or a fresh write. I really do not care. I don't care if it has won 2039402384 trophies or zero. Just make it amazing.

Just as a hint though, this contest doesn't really focus around rhyme [though it's accepted] & it isn't about epic, long, boring poems that take up 202309428 lines. Nope.

Along with said poem, fresh or pre-write, please complete the following survey. Put it in your author's comments, or comment the poem with it filled out. :]

1. Name [Real & User]
2. Age
3. Amount of Poetic Experience
4. Typical/Strongest Style
5. Unusual/Weakest Style
6. Favorite Type of Inspiration
7. Amount of Multiround Experience
8. Some Accomplishments
9. One Fact I Don’t Know About You
10. Additional Comments You’d Like Me To Read

Also, I want you to know that by entering this contest, you are agreeing to a few things:

You will turn your assignments in on time & to the best of your ability.
You will participate & work with team members, not matter how much you may hate some of them.
You will not take anything personal that happens in this contest.
You will not throw fits/temper tantrums depending on the outcome of challenges.
You will respect me as the judge.
You will notify me of problems/extended absences.
You will see that my decisions are final law.

That's about it. I will be sending out links to poems/poets that are outstanding. If you need some inspiration, then just message me & I'll give you a picture or something. :]

I think that's it? Questions/comments, hit up the page or IM me personally. Thanks.

Note #1: Prewrites can be no older than 8 months old. I mean, how unfair is that if you are terrible now, but amazing back in the day? haha. & yes, I will be checking.

-Chase

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on March 27, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 2 people
  • Final notes:
    I'll make this short.

Thanks for all of your entries, blah blah blah. Some of them were truly outstanding.

I'm still keeping the auditions open, so message me. The deadline is April 1st though. I am keeping true to this whole "April 1st" start. I may put out the first assignment, but you will have a week to do it. That's ample time.

Anywho though, thanks for the entries & for everyone accepted, make sure you join the group/congrats on being accepted in.

Just remember, you're going to need to work. Just because you're in doesn't mean you're already writing at the level I expect. :]]

I'm confused.. Is this the same page I entered cause I'm not seeing my poem? Or is this the next round? And how are you sending out group notes if there is no group yet?

I know I sound like a dumb blonde, but I think I missed something. Help.
