The Challenge: Write a poem in at least 15 lines using NO adjectives. I had to do the same exact challenge in my Creative Writing class...you'd be amazed at how many people came out with amazing poems. I would expect even better from you guys.

Don't give me any "Oh my gosh, I don't know what I am going to write about" bull-crap. Use your noggin'! Go read one of your friends poem's, go take a walk outside real quick...there is inspiration all around you. Take advantage of the fact that I am allowing you to choose whatever subject you want to write about.

YOU HAVE 3 DAYS.

DEADLINE: Friday, February 29th at 6PM EST.

Good luck!

    Ah.Sosha., Lucy sky-diamond & Raazi are in the bottom three. Now that all contestants are merged into one group of individuals, eliminations work differently. Anyone who makes the bottom three is automatically nominated for elimination. What determines their fate is NOT ONLY their poem for -that- round, but for ALL rounds included. The poet who has placed the lowest on average throughout every round will be eliminated. The other two will be safe.

    For each place you have gotten in the past, for instance, if you got first place, then you would get one point. If you got fourth place in the next round, then four points would be added to your score. And so on.

    The first poet who is safe from elimination is..

    Raazi!

    Congratulations, you are safe.

    We are down to Ah.Sosha. and Lucy sky-diamond. Both ladies have grown throughout the competition, but the one who has just done enough to stay in the competition is...

    Ah.Sosha.!

    Congrulations, you are safe.

    Lucy sky-diamond, you have been eliminated from Teen Idol, placing 9th overall. Thank you for your talent, and best of luck outside of the contest.

      Adjectives are any kind of words that describe.

      Like if I said:

      I like blue crayons.

      blue = adjective

      so, for the poem, you would have to say:

      I like crayons.

      In a poem, you have to describe; that is how imagery is made. So in order to describe a color, you'd probably have to use a metaphor or simile;
      example:

      I like crayons
      in colors of sunsets.

      Hopefully this helps.

      Psssttt and all you have to do is write 15 lines. Piece of cake! I wrote my poem in 30 minutes. :]

          lol I usually take hours to write poems. If I can do a poem with no adjectives in 30 minutes, then anyone can.

          It's easier than it looks.

          Good luck.

          And thanks. lol

      Good question!
      Someone asked that question in creative writing class when we did this challenge, and my teacher said to NOT use adverbs.
      So you guys won't use adverbs either.
