I believe this is my 7th contest (can't remember) and I seem to be having bad luck with getting people to join. I'm hoping to get a much bigger crowd on this one.
I will add more points later in the contest, when I know that more people have joined. I plan on adding quite a few Honorable Mentions.
So here's the deal:
I've made a list of lyrics, two from each song that I chose.
Pick a lyric and let it inspire your poem.
For "extra credit", pick a song and write 2 poems. One for each of the lines given for that song. I will most likely choose a winner who does two poems, though only one of their poems will recieve points.
I will comment on all poems.
Ruls
1. No chat speak or sticky cap.
2. Keep it clean. This is an all-ages contest.
3. Name the SONG and LYRIC # in the author's notes.
4. Put YOUR NAME at the bottom of your work so I can identify if you entered one or two poems.

2. If I look hard enough into the settin' sun, my love will laugh with me before the mornin' comes.

1. I see hell in your eyes.
2. I've killed a million petty souls, but I could't kill you.

so does that mean we submit two different poems or put them in one entry?
-
I just found this contest and think I can come come up with a couple entries but only if there is a deadline extension. Is there any likelihood of that?

Hey great lyrics! I'd love to write at least two poems for this...but in one day? Any chance the comp will go longer?
-
I've had terrible writers' block for weeks. 24hrs and I hope to be finished. Please?
