I have a novel heavy with culture. Something like a Huckleberry Finn- Tom Saywer book. It is about growing up poor in KY during the 1950's. Fiction/fanasty with a ghost point of view.
I wish you'd accept novels in this contest.
Mine starts with Christmas in the Hills. Anyway have fun in the contest and be blessed.

This is nice... our prayer group has a book out. I think it is wonderful. It is spiritual, and of course it praises the Lord. I don't like the word "religious", but I guess that is what most would call it. Not what you are looking for, but I wish you the best in your contest.

        a tad too naughty

Delbur Pyle excerpt..dont have a link available since i deleted all my poems that are published in the book off the net, only have hard copies.

If you scroll down this amazon page you will see an excerpt..

        http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/1413777562/qid=1140916845/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_0_1/702-4644983-8788848

too suggestively naughty in some for sure but i do appreciate your willingness to have a look see

Good luck with your contest...i've a close friend who's children's books are superb, will pass the link on to him for this contest. Only problem is he's a free member so his tools in creativity will be limited in designing a page.

I do not understand why you have added the clause that "prewritten poems are not allowed" Is this a mistake? It does not seem appropriate for this competition.

    haiku

hi! you may not be interested, because i live in australia but i have had a book of haiku published by a small press publishing house called Flat Chat Press.

it may not be meaningful or soulful and it doesn't have overt metaphors because it's haiku - but it does contain vivid imagery.

    good luck in your quest,
