So recently, interestingly twisted things have been happening to me. I've broken off horrible ties that drug me down, and some things I'm clinging to more than ever even though they're fading away from me.
It feels like I'm just standing here as the people I want more than anything to be close to are shrinking away to live their own blissful lives. So I'm stuck here, reaching out, stabbing blindly in the air in an attempt to grab a piece of them to hold on to, while they're standing far off in the distance laughing at my blind attempts to cling to happiness.
Elaborate on that for me. I want to feel abandonment, loneliness, false hope, loss, regret...
Tell me a tale of solitude. Everything else in your life is moving and you're standing still. With you in slow motion and the rest of the world in warp speed, I want you to tell me how it feels. Make me relate. Make me feel. If you can make me cry, that would be great. The hardest thing is to want desparately to cry but not have the strength in you to tear up.
Paint me a picture of things you remember, things you regret, things you miss, as if they are all ashes of blissful memories that you want so desparately to cling to.
***Imagery is key***
Rules:
No Sticky Caps
I'll make it new poems first, but pre-writes towards the end.
Put "Things we lost in the fire" in your author's notes so I know you read these rules.
Keep it anonymous. I hate it when people have their names in their author's notes.
I don't care how vulgar or obscene, as long as it evokes emotion, but please nothing too extreme.
I want imagery.
Thank you for your entries.
All my love, DxD

but it wouldn't take. Just letting you know that
I read the rules and attempted to do so but I cannot control the panel that registers the entries.
Hope you read this!!! -
