ANYTHING!

Hey!
Once again I’m in the mood of generosity. I want to give away my points, so I hope you’ll help me with that

The 1st price is 1000 points and a shiny gold trophy. Right now that’s the only price you can win, BUT if you give me some of your best poetry I will add more. I will allow prewritten poems; however, I much prefer freshly written poetry.

There are no options you have to follow in this contest, but there are suggestions. These are:

Love
Sex

All those subjects are “easy” to write about, so I ask you – do not write what we have all read before. Make me feel it.

3. Song inspiration
Take a song title and write a new text. It does not have to have any comparison to the original lyric, but that’s up to you.

As said, the previous are only suggestions – you can write about anything else if you want to. FYI I have a love for poetic poetry that is real. I do not mind cutting, but please try to keep it original. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cutting poem that I hadn’t already read once before by someone else … maybe you’re up for the challenge?

The rules we all hate:
- No bashing of other poets and their work
- Try to comment on the other entries
- Try to stay anonymous – I like it that way.
- As said, prewritten poems are allowed, but only if they have never won a gold trophy before.
- No chat speak
- No dirty pretty
- I only accept stories if they are in poetry form, that to mean stanzas and such.
- You can enter as many times as you want
- I'm not a fan of long poetry. It can be 70 lines, but no longer or I will fall asleep.

I will try to comment on each entry. I will not applaud any work.

    Wow. I never expected to get this much entries. 169. Due to so many entries there were a few who didn’t get a comment, and I want to apologize for that. But no matter if I commented or not, I did read all of the poetry entered, and I can honestly say that you really are talented. It was very hard to judge because as I was reading the preliminary finalists list just got longer and longer. I tried narrowing down again and again and finally ended up with what there is now. There is a lot of you who didn’t get a trophy that really deserved one, and I’m sorry I couldn’t give all of you one. The winners that I chose is:
