Anything Goes... As long as it's deep...

I want you to write a poem, an emotional poem. I want to see your best poetry so I will allow prewrites, but I would prefer new poetry. I must admit I am somewhat partial to sad, dark poetry, especially if it rhymes.

The RULES!!!!!:

1: YoU CaN WrItE LiKe ThIs If It HeLpS GeT ThE MeSsAgE aCrOsS, aLtHoUgH i DoUbT iT wIlL.
2: No erotica or profanity unless it helps get the message across and it is used tastefuly.
3: Don't do anything humorous or it will be DQ'ed, because that is not what I'm looking for. I want deep emotional poems.
4: Don't make the poetry too long, unless it's really good, I don't like having to read one poem for an extended period of time.

Last, but not least, enjoy!

Hi again, thought I'd give this a go although I believe it unintentionally turned out to be hilarious, but I feel this does have a crucial message. I hope you'll at least enjoy reading it.

i wrote this poem to honor my son who died at the age of 26 days. It seems that this was the only gift i could give him. This and the gift of peace when i agreed to let him go.

I'm sorry. I'm confused. My poem 'A letter to my secret friend,' isn't on the list.
