Contest What do you See? January Greeters Contest by AP Greeters

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

To start off this brand new year we,
the Greeters, would like to invite
you to take a look at this ink blot.

No, we are not trying to shrink your heads, we
simply would like you to write about what
you see or the feelings that you get while
studying it. Be as descriptive as you
possibly can. Make us take a second look
at the ink blot and see or feel what you do.

Yes, there are a few rules to go by.
Please,
read the rules carefully. If your poem does not
fit the criteria, it can not be considered.

Rules:
1. No pre-writes
2. No profanity, erotica, sTiCkY CaPs
3. No chat slang, plain English please
4. One entry per person
5. If you collaborate, the poet must be a new January member also.

Before submitting your poem, please ask yourself the following:

· Does this meet closely with the requirements of the contest?

· Did you go over the poem and check for any grammatical or     typographical errors?

· If you were judging, would you be able to see how this would or would NOT win placement?
·

Contest will close on January 31st at Midnight (USA time). Winners will be notified a few days later as this is a group effort.

We look forward to your entries. Good luck and Welcome to Allpoetry.

UPDATE
Due to the huge amount of enteries in our contest, we ask for your patience in judging this. We will make final decisions within a few days.
Thank you

Its Only Me! or should I call you 'Hawkeye'- 2 closing dates are quite normal when a contest runs for longer than 2 weeks. The system will allow any time up to 14 days into the future, so as the month of January progresses so will the final closing day until we reach the end of the month.

I liked this contest, good idea

I still think the ink blot looks like a nasty bug crawling down a wall. With legs curling out to its sides, two buldging eyes, pinchers in front of its head(like an earwig), a long insect like body, even with a shape almost like a widows hourglass, only on its upper back.
