**IN THE PROCESS OF JUDGING!!!**
Ok, so I don't have much time since I've moved in with my boyfriend and we don't have access to the net - but I'm home today doing laundry. So this is what I'm gonna do (this is for the MOD's too..so they don't judge it..that'd make me mad..) I'm going to print off every poem, take them back home with me, judge them there and then come back and do it. So if you don't see me online for a few days it's not because I'm not judging it - it's because I printed them off. But have no fear, the judging WILL be done before the 13th AND there will be a comment on every poem
I get free points for that you know..

Ok guys. So I finally got enough points for another contest and this time I'm going to be completely selfish.
In the past year I've been diagnosed with tendinitis in the back of my head, an STD, mono, depression and an ulcer. I've suffered the loss of a fiancee (no he didn't die, merely left me) and been left by a man in the Navy who "couldn't handle the distance".. So needless to say, I'm not having the best year of my life.
So this is what I want. I want poems for me, yeah, little ole me. They can be:
-Inspirational: give me inspiration, hope to go on. Let me know why my life is worth living.
-Spiritual: this is actually somewhat linked to inspirational - but doesn't have to be. Let me know God is there. I adore God
Just make sure with this option the poem is centered around God AND myself.
-Ego-booster: who doesn't like a good ego boosting? Let me know I'm appreciated.
-Erotica: Heck, a little sex every now and then (even if it's on paper) can make someone feel better. Comeon, I'm 18, I can't help but have raging hormones.
-Anything else you can think of.

-No bashing. Well, you can I suppose, but I'm going to DQ you and have my AP mafia come get you.
-No StIcKy CaPs
-No Pre-writes
-No misspellings. I'll correct you once, if you don't fix it you probably won't win. Spell check is there for a reason.
-Try to be original
-Out of common courtesy try to comment on other people in the contests poems. I WILL take that into consideration.

It can be in any format, what-not/what-not. I don't care if it rhymes, if it doesn't..if it's prose, a story, eh, whatever. I just need something to boost my spirits. The best way to win a battle over the body is with the mind - and my mind isn't in the right state quite yet.

It says 308 for the winner, but most likely it will be 350-400 for gold, 75-125 for silver, and 40-60 for bronze.

- Final notes: How does one judge a contest when everyone took the time out of their hectic schedules to write for me? I tell you, it was miserable trying to put places on all of these. They were all spectacular poems - and each deserve the gold. I want to let you all know how much this means to me that you took time out of your busy lives to think of me and try to cheer me up!
As for me - I've been put on Zoloft for anxiety and nausea pills for the stomach aches. I think things are getting better, but I still have my down days and I keep dreaming of my ex (which sucks) but eh..life's like that sometimes right?

i plan to start a mindy support drive and hopefully you will be flooded with so many entries that you will beg all of us to go away. ok, so you will beg us to stay and of course we shall! we all need to make mindy feel better. there are so many categories surely theres something a person can say that will give her encouragement. i am praying for you mindy! i am keeping my fingers crossed for you as well. many of us love you and we think itz a better world with you in it verses the opposite. please get better, luvya, DARK.

I am sorry that you are having such a hard time as of late. Please know that you are in my prayers and I will keep you in my prayers as you go to the doctor this morning. For your not so pleasant trip I will leave you a poem full of wonderful imagery to take with you! I hope you feel better!

Yeppers, no probs... as a leukeamia survivor, a sufferer of rhumatoid Arthritis, clinical depression and am on suicide watch for another 12 months (ggrrr) I'll enter a beauty. Nice contest, self indulgence.. love it

Oh mendee...I don't know how to comfort you through your hard times, but atleast you are reaching out and wanting to feel better. Some people who are depressed and whatnot, just want to read sad poems, and don't like happy poems. So I'm proud of you . Get to feeling better. I want to write you a poem, but my mind is blah right now... so I'm hoping it comes back. You are in my prayers though.. And I have a favorite quote, that I keep on my wall and I think it may help: "There's nothing that is going to happen to me that the Lord and I can't handle." That basically sums up God to me. He will always be there in your heart pulling you along.
