For People who love Gothic Romance then this contest is for you and if you like reading Gothic Romance then you can describe for us your idea of
a perfect Gothic castle...
Two choices but VIVID IMAGERY is a Must in Both !!!
Choice No 1: Describe your Gothic Castle, the outside as you first approach it, is it night surrounded by swirling mist, or daylight but gloomy after a storm has just passed, do gargoyles protect the entrance, does ivy cover the castle, are the windows bright and shiny in the sunshine,or does a mere candle reflect in the deep night?
Describe the rooms, the decor,that Waterford crystal on the dining room table, the spinning wheel in the corner, the grand piano, the paintings on the wall, the bedroom with the mosquito netting, you get the general idea...We want IMAGERY people lots of it and it's got to be Gothic IMAGERY if you don't know it look it up to find out the furniture in that time period, what they wore, etc....
Choice No 2... And as you all know in Gothic Castle/Romances the castle is always haunted, what is the legend of your castle? What happened to cause this ghost to forever haunt the castle and the grounds? What time does she appear? Is she friendly or frightening, can you hear her weeping, is she looking for something perhaps?
Just give us a good tale, it can rhyme or be free verse, but most of all have fun doing this contest......

1. For Preferred Members and Uber Members please upload a picture of your castle, or you can use the one we have here that goes along with the contest, also please find a background to go with the pic
2. No Prewrites... sorry....
3. No profanity, no swearing
4. No stories
5. No StIcKy caPs...immediate disqualification if used
6 Please use spell check it's there for a reason
7. If someone comments on your poem in this contest,and they also have a poem here it would be courteous to reply back to them as well

2nd prize 75 points
3rd prize 50
