My Birthday is in a week. November 26th, I will be 16years old. Here's why Im having the contest.
My friend Jessie and I had the same birthday. She was exactly 1year older then me. We've known eachother since I was in 3rd grade. A year an a half ago, she died. This will be my 2nd birthday without her, and its so hard. So I want you to write on the following topics.
1. A birthday poem to me, cheering me up...
2. A birthday poem in memory of Jessie and I. I want emotion, and I want tears to come to my eyes when I read it. Make it sad, show how much Im missing her. (I like this one the best).
3. Just make me cry with a sad poem that has to do with EDs, deepression, cutting, pills, whatever.
4. Show me how much you love me

- Final notes: Ya'll have no idea how hard this was to judge, not only because I had to have the winners be perfect, but because ALL of the poems were good, trust me . I wish I could give you all trophies. 4th-7th places were the runner ups that I also wanted to give a place to, and will each get a number of points. Sounds like agreat idea, especially for those that know the circumstances closely hold onto consequence. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to everybody, because everybody deserves to celebrate everyday! Life is how we perceive more than just one day and to be there even for the sad days of others, and know that even sad days are cause for celebration.

i'm sorry for your loss! i know that your birthday from now on will be forever bittersweet. i lost two family members and a friend of the family this year alone starting over a six month span. had a brother killed by a drunk driver before his 24th birthday. my wish for you is one of cheer that could be without tears. i know how impossible that would be, but itz still my wish to you from me. happy birthday bitter-sweet sixteen! happy thanksgiving too, with love and respect, DARK.

You know, I don't think I really care at all if I don't win anything at all in this contest. ^_^ I'm happy just knowing that it might have helped some. I've never met LaLa and I never met Jessie, but I think Jessie had to be a really great friend. I can't claim to understand the pain that your going through, but if that were my best friend...well, I wouldn't be me anymore. It was just be a body that doesn't do anything. I think Jessie is there with you LaLa, because if she wasn't well....I wouldn't have been able to hold on. I'm going to stop by tomorrow too, just to say happy birthday to you both. ^_^

Im not me anymore
Im this dark, depressed person. Without Jessie, my life has turned upside down. To the point that I cut, starve, and abuse my body. Im this girl that hates herself, and just wishes I had my friends Everyone says they love me, and it hurts...because Im holding on for them. I cant hurt the people that love me, like I've been hurt. No one should ever have to go through this, and my time will come sooner or later...it will come.
I appreciate you caring so much. All of these poems touched me a great deal. Thank you for being there for me. I hope I can get to know you LaLa

When people say they love me it hurts...because my friends and my family are the only reason I'm still here. I never lost my best friend and hopefully I never will but...The reasons for my wanting to leave this world are quite different from yours. Even so, I think I can somewhat understand your pain. I was there when my sister lost her best friend when their car blew up...I hope I can get to know you too. ^_^

Thats horrible...Well, Know that Im here for you always. I'd like to be friends. I might have a lot, but I could always have one more friend. I dont have many that understand me. I have a group called Left Behind by the Ones you Love...you might not have lost a friend to death, but Im sure you've been left behind in one way or another. Thanks, and I would like to have another friend. ^_^ As for joining, I'd love to. Friends that can understand one another for me is hard to find but...I'm thankful for the ones I have, and the ones that do understand.
