Since Thanksgiving is an American (USA) tradition and celebrated in the month of November, we felt that it would be appropriate to not just limit this contest to just that. This is so that all of our members from around the world could participate.
With holidays coming up, we would like you to write about how grateful you are for what you have in life. Family, friends, pets, you name it, the ideas are limitless. Make us feel all warm and fuzzy all over as we read it. We would like this to be exploding with emotion.

A PRIZE OF 100 POINTS WILL BE AWARDED TO THE ENTRY WHICH IS ENTRY NUMBER ????? providing it fits the criteria for the contest (this number is known only to the Greeter Team)WHETHER IT WINS ONE OF THE FIRST 3 PLACES OR NOT but it does have to meet ALL THE CRITERIA!!

Rules:
1. No Pre-writes
2. No profanity, sTiCkY caps, or chat slang such as: wuz, dat, ma, iz, newayz
3. One entry per person, so please check over your poem carefully before submitting it
4. If you collaborate, the other poet must be a new November member also
5. Each new AP member that enters the contest MUST read a minimum of 3 of the other poems in the contest in order to be eligible for selection
6. Any poem that does not fit the criteria – regardless of how good it may be will be removed if after the initial request to the author to remove/correct it themselves is ignored
Before submitting your poem, please ask yourself the following:
· Does this meet closely with the requirements of the contest?
· Did you go over the poem and check for any grammatical or typographical errors?
· If you were judging this contest, would you be able to see how this poem would or would NOT win placement?
Contest will close on November 30th @ Midnight (USA time) and winners will be notified a few days later as judging is a team effort by the Greeters.
