Contest:
I present to you my first contest! (Wooty!) Brought to you in thanks to the generosity of a few random AP poets... who felt sorry for me enough to donate points! First of all lonely, then Chalk Outline gave me 150 (OMG!!!) and now sanity has given me 50 points towards contest! A BIG thank you goes out to Chalk Outline, lonely and sanity! In return for their generosity, this contest is dedicated to them!
If you already have won some trophies, why not enter my other contest! There are loads of topic titles and lots of points up for grabs:

RULES:
1. I have allowed prewrites but you must comment on 2 of my donors or my poems in return instead of the one necessary for non prewrites.
2. No sTiCkY cApS
3. Swearing where appropriate is allowed but strictly no erotica
4. You MUST use spell check before you post your poem.
5. Poems only sorry - no stories, lyrics etc.
6. Only those without ANY trophies can enter. I will ignore all entries from people without trophies.. and yes i will be checking!
7. Comment on at least one other persons entry in the contest (a proper critique not just Good Job whatever..
) and say who you commented on in your Authors Comments
8. Comment on either one of my own, Chalk Outline, lonely or sanity 's poems. Please state whose poems you've commented on in the Authors Comments.
9. Please note the Option and number in (and those doing OPTION ONE MUST state which poem you have used to influence you) in your poems Author Comments.
10. If you don't follow ALL the above rules your entry will be disqualified!
To summarise your Author's Comments should look like this

A lil promise from me to you
On entering i promise i will comment on ALL entries before judging. If you comment on more than one of my poems, i will post on 2 of your poems back! I always look forward to reading new poetry, and this contest gives me a perfect opportunity to meet some new poets! Note: i will comment on poets other poems after the contest entry date has ended so that i know whose poems i have and haven't posted on!
Now for the contest..
After reading the following, please read and respect the rules! They are my 10 commandments and i won't consider any poem that does not follow them in the final judging! Thankyoux
OPTION ONE:
Use one of my poems (or one of Chalk Outline, lonely and sanity's) to influence you. I have over 40 poems dealing with many, many issues from violence to love, dark poems to parodies! Once you have chosen a poem you can either:
1. Write a poem about the issues raised in the poem or the subject it deals with, or
2. Write a response to this poem (for example, a response to the issues raised in Dear Mr. President).
OPTION TWO:
1. Write a poem about a broken romance or friendship? Why did it end, how did it feel etc?
2. Your idea of heaven - whats your idea of heaven - is it heaven on earth, being with your boyfriend.. something special happen to make you feel like your in heaven?
3. A message / regrets: If there was a message you could give to someone now, what would it be? Have you ever met a person, that special one, and you didn't make a move or tell them how you feel? If someone dear to you has passed away, is there anything you had wished you'd said? Just some ideas.
I will lean towards the non prewrites and those responding to OPTION ONE but all will be considered in the final selection! Just remember to follow ALL of the rules.
Thats about it.... if you have any spare points that you would like to donate, i would gladly receive them to put towards the cost of this contest!

i've noticed that some of you poems are about friends...i think that really cool because i write a lot of poems about my friends, because they're a important part of my life

Well I read the three that have entered this contest and you all have done a fine job. As of right now I dont have any tropheys but I am entered in alot of contests. I think I will read the poems suggested and see if one of them can inspire me into writing one myself. Good job and good luck to all!

heya this contest is now closed and judging i will be spending the next few days judging and reading everyones works a big thankyou to EVERYONE for entering, from what ive read so far there are some amazing entries! Sorry for the wait in closing the contest, i have just returned to university so i didnt really have the time to dedicate to comment on all the entries

i am now just over half way through the judging and i will aim to list the winners on Saturday! Plus, i will be adding 4th + 5th places, winning 10 points each as there are so many good entries! Unfortunately, some excellent entries could not be judged as they did not follow the rules! I will still write responses to these poems but i will not applaud them as i have done with the others sorry it just wouldnt be fair to those who have followed them best of luck to all in the contest
