My 4th contest.... ahh, isn't that wonderful? Anyway I decided to let this be about punk. I've seen so many contest about punk rock, I enter and try but I never win (
one day I will... mwahahahahahaha) so anyhow, I wanted to hold my own and see what would happen. Let me set up the situation for you,
You can do one of these options
1) what is punk rock to you? Don't give me something like
"Punk rock isn't black and pink" And please don't include the word poser. No, *DO NOT USE THE WORD POSER* if you IM me and tell me the circumstances and I approve then, and only then can you use that word. It's a little over used. Anyway, I already had a contest about it...
2) What punk rock band (from the 80's era, the only exception of this is Rancid, they started in like 91 but I count them.) was the most influencing to you? You can do it on your favorite punk band
3) You can write an ode to punk music. Personally I find it fun to write Ode's to bands because, well it takes up time and it's funny. hahahaha
Now, there are no rules, it's complete anarchy. I know you guys can revel in that. so, if you read all of this then put \m/ \m/ Mosh pits are fun in your user comment box thingie.

Is it only "punk bands" from the 80's? A lot of the original punk bands started in the mid to late 70's. And Rancid isn't really PURE punk, they're more like ska-punk. But whatev. cool contest none the less. -

I like your contest! If I had found it sooner I would have entered. I am so for not using the word 'poser.' Its a stupid word. So what IF punk IS black and pink? Who is anyone to make that call? For all we know it could be lime green! LOL ... coolness.
