September is MY month
Well…. ok, i’ll share if you insist.
Samplette just finished the contest “Seasons Change” and there were
so many wonderful entries not enough trophies to go around.
So what i wanted to do was to have another contest called;
Autumn’s Wonder
This is a kind of second chance for the ones that did not get entered into that contest and for the ones that did not get a trophy...and anyone else who wants to enter.
The topic is Autumm...not Spring, not Summer, not Winter but Autumn
What I want to see in these poems:
First: Imagery is big for me and that will always be.
Second: Sound. When i read a poem aloud, I love the sounds words make when spoken.
Third: Emotion, I like to feel when i read, and I like it when emotions of whatever kind are evoked.
Here are Samplette’s requirements and they fit well here in this contest as well:
Any style or form of poetry is fine.
NO profanity
NO adult themes
NO sTiCkY CaPs
BUT unlike Sam's;
Prewrites are ok, (gotta let the ones from Sam’s last contest have another chance)
Please show respect to your fellow entrants and make comments.
This is not a requirement merely a request.
You may enter up to (but not more than) 3 entries,
with each entry being a different form of poetry.
Ok…the awards:
1st place is worth 345 points
2nd place is worth 69 points
3rd place is worth 23 points
3 Honorable Mentions at 12 points each
POINTS REVISION!!!!!!!!
WOW...What an amazing array of talent on display
I decided to increase the points and awards
1st place is worth 345 points
added a 100 point bonus
2nd place is worth 69 points
now 100 points
3rd place is worth 23 points
now 50 points
3 Honorable Mentions at 12 points each
now changed to
8 (EIGHT) Honorable Mentions at 25 points each

lol Richard, it might be 150 entries before I can talk my muse into cooperating with me long enough to write an entry!
Autumn is a very beautiful month. I am trying to do a tribute to the commencement of fall/ending of summer poem called "A Path In The Sun". I will see what I can do, if anything. Have fun judging...it is about time for me to open another contest...
Many blessings,
Raven Aurora

Well, even though I did send a personal letter, I am going to extend an official thank-you from the bottom of my heart for this award that I was pretty sure I had no chance of winning. There are so many deserving poets here and I read many of the entries. I do hope that everyone had fun participating. And now I am off to my "real" class, but not without giving a virtual toast!
Welcome to Autumn!
Many blessings,
Raven Aurora
