As the title says this is for all Evanescence fans on AP! Amy Lee has inspired many of us with her haunting voice and mesmerizingly chilled lyrics about love and despair. Now it's time to give some of the inspiration back.
I want you to write me a poem inspired by Evanescence/ Amy Lee. ANYTHING! As long as it's inspired by them.

- Final notes: OMG -- At the beginning this was so easy, I already pretty much knew who was going to win -- but as it progressed, eh it got MUCH harder and there were other entries that I really wanted them to place. As one last thing, I would like to say that Hello... and antichrist are honorable mentions. Again, thanks! This contest was amazing and I'm so happy to see there are so many Evanescence fans! We need to make sure this band stay for a LONG while.

Good question. She is fake in my opinion...she comes off as tho she understands what she sings about; however, she is nothing more than someone trying to project themselves as being someone they truly are not. She did a show here in Indiana where people waited outside after the show (not a large crowd) but they waited there for hours just to get her signature and she barely signed two shirts before taking off, and later hid from the group that even managed to stay around later because what, she didn't want to take another 4 minutes of her life to sign something. I have no respect for someone who would rather show how cold they truly are, instead of just playing the part in the music. I don't care to debate this...it's just something perhaps someone isn't aware of that might like to know. happy writing, even though I don't agree.

I had an Evanescence contest, but I see a lot more people have entered this one. Oh well, I am so entering!!! I think anyone who loves Evanescence is awesome, just watch out for those few people. I have seen two Evanescence contests so far:my own and another, and in each one their was a poem or two on how much evanescence sucked, which is really stupid for an evanescence contest....... oh well enough about my experiences, I am really glad you are having this contest, and good luck with the judging. (I thought it would be easy, but it was really hard!!!) and I hope you don't have someone stupid who makes fun of evanescence in your contest.

You're very right when you mentioned her "haunting voice". It is indeed unique. Every time I listen to her sing it sends chills down my spine because of its power. She is indeed an amazing person.
Anyways, hope you get lots of good entries, wish ya luck with judging and such, and have fun!!
